The Arovista Park Modernization work continues with the contractor slated to begin major grading operations over the next few weeks. For a period of time, residents in the South Brea neighborhood will notice several large trucks per hour arriving on site to import dirt.

Hours of operation for the project continue to be 7:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m., Monday – Friday. With any questions or concerns, we encourage residents to contact the General Contractor (Urban Habitat) directly at (760) 345-1101.

As a reminder, the Brea Skatepark remains closed until further notice. The City hopes to re-open the Skatepark once project conditions allow safe access. We will keep you informed on the status of this closure as timelines become available.

Arovista Park Construction Update

Construction for Arovista Park East (Phase One) will begin the week of May 6, 2024 with an anticipated completion in 2026. The contractor will be working between the hours of 7:00 a.m. and 4:00 p.m. Due to construction at Arovista Park, the Brea Skatepark will be closed until further notice beginning Monday, July 8.

The first few weeks of the project will see minimal construction activity, though project fencing will go up which will limit east/west access across the park, as well as limit parking in the lot off of Sievers Avenue and Elm Street. Heavy construction and grading operations are expected to begin mid-June 2024.

With any questions regarding the project, please contact the Public Works Department at 714-990-7691 or the Community Services Department at 714-990-7738.
