Crimes Persons

The Crimes Persons Unit, which is comprised of four Detectives and one Sergeant, is responsible for investigating homicide, assault, robbery, elder abuse, domestic violence, stalking, rape, sexual assault, child abuse (physical and sexual), criminal threats, arson, and missing persons cases.

Crimes Property

The Crimes Property Unit is responsible for investigating crimes such as burglary, theft, vandalism, and financial crimes.

Crime Suppression Unit

CSU is an undercover investigations unit that concentrates on major crimes, various surveillance techniques, and proactive law enforcement.

Crime Scene Investigation

The mission of the Crime Scene Investigation Unit is to serve the Brea Community by solving crime through the efficient and effective identification, collection and storage of physical evidence.

Crime Analysis

Regional Enforcement Task Forces

The Brea Police Department has detectives assigned to countywide task forces for specialized investigations of narcotics trafficking and auto theft.

Dispatch

Communications, also known as the 911 Dispatch Center, is the first point of contact with the department when citizens are in need of police service.
