The Brea Police Department takes all complaints seriously regarding the service provided by the Department and the conduct of its members. Fair and impartial law enforcement which respects the individual dignity of all is essential. The Brea Police Department professionally and objectively investigate all citizen complaints as thoroughly as possible to arrive at all the facts. A thorough investigation ensures the integrity of the Department while protecting the rights and interests of both citizen and Department employees.
You are encouraged to file a complaint in person with the Watch Commander. If you are unable to come in person, you may call the Watch Commander at 714-990-7624. If the Watch Commander isn’t available, please ask to speak with a supervisor.
You may also obtain a Citizen Complaint Form at the front counter, or you may complete this Complaint Form and it will be submitted to a supervisor.
