Mixed Feelings: Existing in the Space Between

On view now through March 20, 2026

The Brea Gallery is proud to present Mixed Feelings: Existing in the Space Between, exploring themes of identity, intersectionality, and cultural hybridity through the work of multi-ethnic and biracial artists. Spanning a diverse range of media, this exhibition considers the complexities of belonging and the lived experience of navigating multiple cultural identities.

The exhibiting artists investigate these themes through deeply personal and socially engaged works, drawing from depictions of personal experiences, family histories, and political injustices. Mixed Feelings reflects on these layered realities, inviting viewers to consider how identity is negotiated, expressed, and redefined across intersecting cultural heritages.
