Southern California firefighters continue this great tradition of collecting toys during the annual “Spark of Love” campaign. Under the Toy Collaborative, numerous nonprofit organizations are supported by firefighters, the Marine Corps’ “Toys for Tots,” Orange County Social Services’ “Operation Santa Claus” and the St. Vincent de Paul holiday charities programs. Working together, almost 300,000 toys are distributed to children who otherwise might not receive gifts during the holiday season.
