Construction for CIP Project 7329 – Birch Street Phase 1A is scheduled to begin on Monday, June 23, 2025, and is anticipated to be completed by October 16, 2025. Work will be performed on Birch Street between Kraemer Boulevard and Valencia Avenue. The project includes replacing the existing pavement, reconstructing curb ramps and sidewalks, and replacing medians. In addition, water valves and manholes will be adjusted to match the new road height, and the roadway will be re-striped.
Traffic control measures will be placed on Birch Street and adjacent side streets affected by the construction. One through lane will remain open at all times on Birch Street to maintain traffic flow, lane closures will take place from 9:00 a.m. - 3:00 p.m with working hours between 7:00 a.m.- 4:00 p.m. Traffic control includes lane closures, signage, and flaggers to safely guide vehicles and pedestrians through the work zone.
