Following a decision by the Traffic Committee at its Special Meeting on March 7, the traffic diverters located at the intersection of Cliffwood Ave and St College Blvd, were removed. A Working Group is being formed.
On March 7, during a Special Meeting focusing on the traffic diverters located at the intersection of Cliffwood Ave and St College Blvd, the Traffic Committee decided to gather additional traffic data, remove the diverters and form a working group. The decision came after a presentation from staff and hearing over 20 residents speak for and against the traffic diverters. The presentation given at the meeting is available to view.
The Traffic Committee also decided to establish a working group to come up with a more comprehensive solution for the area. Residents of the surrounding Cliffwood neighborhood, who are interested in being part of the working group, can fill out an online interest list or email Public Works Deputy Director/City Engineer Michael Ho. Depending on the number of interested residents, there may be a random drawing to select members for the committee. The intent is to keep the size of the committee manageable and balanced with residents from both sides of Cliffwood Ave. The deadline to fill out the interest list, or send an email is March 31, 2019. It is anticipated that the committee will be formed by the end of April 2019.
