City staff is currently underway with a Laurel Elementary School Circulation Study. The study focuses on the existing school circulation patterns related to student drop-off and pick-up, and provides an evaluation of alternative circulation improvements at the intersection of Imperial Highway and Flower Avenue.
On June 26, 2025 to gather community feedback, City staff held a community meeting to discuss the alternatives that were included as part of the study. The alternatives include an existing condition alternative, a right-in/right-out alternative, two separate cul-de-sac alternatives, and a southbound right-turn only alternative. Click here to view the alternatives discussed at the community meeting.
The next steps include, City staff updating the study to incorporate the feedback that was received during the community meeting and then presenting the study to the Traffic Committee and City Council.
Questions and/or feedback can be directed to the Public Works Department by calling 714-990-7691.
