Every year, this juried exhibit showcases artwork from all over the state of California. MICA strives to highlight artists in all stages of their careers and offers them a chance to compete for a number of awards, including the coveted solo show opportunity. This regional show features artwork from an extensive variety of mediums and explores creative movements happening in California.
This year's Made in California exhibition opened April 29th and will run to June 23rd, 2023. Over 90+ artists can be viewed in our group exhibition, and also an amazing solo show room by Amanda Kazemi titled Woven Together. We have also handed out awards such as Emerging Artist and Commissioner's Award, but also included the opportunity for the public to vote for Popular Choice. The competition for Popular Choice will end on our last day of this exhibit, and we will also be hosting a closing reception that day, Friday, June 23rd 4pm-6pm.
