The nomination period for people interested in serving on the Brea City Council is from July 18 through August 12. This year, three City Council seats, currently filled by Cecilia Hupp, Glenn Parker, and Steven Vargas, will be open on November 8, 2022.
Candidates must file nomination papers with the City Clerk at 1 Civic Center Circle, 3rd Floor, by 5:00 p.m. on August 12, 2022. If any of the incumbents fail to file papers by the deadline, the filing period will extend through 5:30 p.m. on August 17, 2022. All candidates must be Brea residents.
