In observance of the upcoming Christmas and New Year’s holidays, the City of Brea administrative offices, along with the Curtis Theatre, will be closed beginning on Monday, December 24 and will return to normal operations on Wednesday, January 2, 2019. The Brea Gallery’s next exhibition, Immersion, will open in February 2019.
The Brea Community Center will be closed on Monday and Tuesday, December 24 and 25, as well as on Tuesday, January 1, 2019, but will offer hours of operation on December 26 from 7:30 a.m.-2:00 p.m. and on December 31 from 7:00 a.m.-12:00 p.m.
The Brea Family Resource Center and Brea Senior Center will be closed Monday, December 24 through Tuesday, January 1, 2019. Emergency Police and Fire schedules are not affected by the holiday schedule.
Trash collection and street sweeping services will be delayed by one day from the normal schedule beginning December 26 through the rest of the week. Christmas tree pick-up will begin from December 26 through January 7, 2019. Recycle trees by cutting them up and placing in the brown yard waste container or you may place it curbside near the trash cans. Trees over 6’ tall must be cut in half. Remove all ornaments, lights and stands. Flocked trees are not recyclable and must be bagged. Discarded trees will be picked up during these two weeks.
