[ARCHIVED] Heroes & Helpers

“Heroes & Helpers,” formerly known as Shop with a Cop, has become an annual tradition in Brea. Children, selected with the help from the Brea Resource Center and Brea Boys and Girls Club, are treated to breakfast at IHOP and shopping at Target with members of the Brea Police Department.

For the past six years, the Brea Police Association and the Brea Police Management Association partner with local businesses and work closely with the Brea Resource Center and Brea Boys and Girls Club to select children from families in need of assistance. This year, Target provided a grant to help sponsor the event so many more children were able to go holiday shopping for themselves and their families. This event is memorable to the members of the Brea Police Department. Its an opportunity for children to see the Police Officers in a different light, and for the officers to spend quality time with members of the community.

For more information on how you can help families in need, please contact the Brea Resource Center at (714) 990-7150 or visit BreaResourceCenter.com.
